Why is the gas gauge saying empty when there is a full tank of gas for 2006 Nissan Pathfinder?

Fuel sending unit more than likely has failed. Normally will set a code stored in ECM, pretty common problem. Counter measure sending unit is available. Don't for get to replace O-Ring when replacing sending unit.
