Who invented the cotton swab?

Leo Gartenszang invented the cotton swab and first called it "Baby Gays" it was soon called the Baby Gays Q-Tips the Baby gays part soon after that dropped out of its name then called plan Q-tips. The cotton swab was invented in 1923.
