A Medical Transcription Service Organization, or MTSO, is another way of saying a Medical Transcription Company.

There are different relationship levels in the medical transcription community. Transcriptionists can work directly for a hospital or doctor as an employee, or they can work for a medical transcription company (or MTSO) or they can themselves become a MTSO by contracting work from hospitals and doctors. All in all, since medical transcription is part of the healthcare industry, the Government's Occupational Handbook do suggest that there will be a great demand for workers in the field up to the next decade. Meaning, this career is really feasible.
