The Gospel According to John Says:The only disciple that we know was present at the Crucifixion was the beloved disciple, traditionally thought to be John. He was standing with Mary, the mother of Jesus, her sister, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw Mary, His mother, standing with John, he said, "Woman, behold thy son!" Then he said to John, "Behold thy mother!" From that time John took Mary into his home (John 19:26-27).
