What is an aid car?

The rarely-used term "aid car" means "ambulance" - a vehicle used by hospitals or paramedics responding to medical emergencies. The use of the term seems confined mainly to northern Washington State, including Kings County and the city of Seattle. But even there, the more common term is ambulance. It has also been used in central and northern New York State.
