How should 'politics' be defined?

Politics is the social science concerned with how human groups organize themselves into how decisions will be made, what roles each member of the group will fulfill, and how conflict will be resolved. It is also the particular ideology, philosophy, or doctrine that guides a given group (e.g. a nation, tribe, etc.) into how decisions will be made, what roles each member will fulfill, and how conflict will be resolved.
