There are several significant fruit-growing areas in Australia. they include:
- The coastal strip from far north Queensland down to central Queensland, where tropical fruits are grown
- The Riverina area of southern New South Wales, between the Murrumbidgee and Murray Rivers
- Western Victoria, along the Murray River, around Mildura
- The Murray River flats of South Australia, between Waikerie and Berri/Barmera, including Renmark and Loxton
- Southern Queensland and the "Granite Belt" around Stanthorpe
