What happens to a bull sharks body when they enter fresh waters?

Bull sharks are the only type of sharks known to enter fresh waters. They have been spotted in the Amazon river and reside on the coasts of North and South America, Africa, India, Australia, and surrounding islands; however, only near the equator. They are known for their unique habits and prefer shallower waters.
