What type of conflict is in the book homeless bird?

This book has many conflicts, but the main problem is that she is living with a terrible family, who only wanted the dowry, not her, because their son is gravely ill. Eventually he dies and so does the husband, and their daughter moves out. Koly, the main character, is left with the evil stepmother, and ditched in Varanasi by her. Eventually, she finds the man of her dreams, finds a welcoming home, and lives happily ever after. :)
