A tree gets its food by the sun's rays. When the Sun's rays are caught in the tree's leaves, it is changed into Glucose, which is a type of sugar. This is called Photosynthesis.

Word equation= carbon dioxide+water+energy= Glucose (sugar)+ oxygen
