Which is larger - the Northern or Southern Hemisphere?

They are of approximately equal size depending on the measurement. Hemisphere, meaning "half sphere" refers in this case to dividing the Earth exactly in half. The Earth itself though isn't a sphere; it's an oblate spheriod. So minor differences may exist.
