How do you get the distributor to go allthe way down on a 94chevy blazer?

given that you marked the relation of the distributer to the intake,you should turn the dis. counter clock appx. 3/8 inch it should lower and turn closkwise as it drops into place linning up with the mark you should have made to reinstall to its original position
