How can you become friends with a girl you dont see very often?

I've had this problem myself.. except i was the girl in this scenario.

basically, CALL HER! if she hasn't seen you in a long time, and she still likes you as a friend, then she'll be happy to talk to you. when your on the phone to her take note of her tone in voice, is it happy? sincere? bored?

after a while of catching up, ask her if she wants to catch up in person. don't make it up on the spot while your asking her, have a set time and date already in plan so she knows youv made the effort and it doesnt look sus. tell her you miss her friendship, and that you want to be close again.
