What does a s-video provide?

S-Video, or Separate Video, is a video signal that improves picture quality by separating the brightness (luminance) and color (chrominance) information. This separation reduces the chances of color bleeding and enhances overall image clarity compared to composite video signals, which combine both signals into one. S-Video is commonly used for standard-definition video sources, like DVD players and older gaming consoles, providing a better viewing experience than composite connections.
