If you are not promoted what would you do?

Difficult to say but alternatives : -

Move out - if there is an opportunity, capability to do some thing else, money??, confidence, ability - demand.

Move out - if you were sensibly saving, married well, dad is rich, you already made a pile - so why are you working in the first place - buddy you've made it, sit back and relax - give the Bahamas a chance and more such places, people and things - HAVE A BALL.

Carry on - rationalize, if not frustration will set in

Carry on - rationalize, relax take more interest in other things, family? fun and frolic - probably get kicked out.
