How long does UPS next day air take?

It is SUPPOSE to be 1 day.

Unfortunately just because it might say 1 day air mail doesn't mean it is what it really does is just fatten the bigwigs pockets at ups and is a waste of time and money unless you live in or beside the state that the item is coming from you also have to figure in how many stupid towns/cities they will hit before deciding to bring you your item holidays and storms and maybe breakdowns. I should know I just used it on 9/23/2010 for a order from a store is in Miami Florida. First the item didn't go out till the 24th from Addison IL that might be where the warehouse is hard to say then it hit Chicago IL on the 24th then Hodgkins IL on the 25th which is like 100 miles from Chicago. Wouldn't it be cheaper on gas to drive the stuff from Hodgkins to Chicago then to fly a jet fuel guzzling plane to there to pick it up? After it left there I checked later today and found out now the idiots are going in the complete opposite direction from North Dakota now they are in Louisville KY instead of my state where they are suppose to be. Chances are I will not see the item this weekend and will have to call them to hold it at their ups store when it comes because no one will be home and I don't want them leaving a 2 thousand dollar item sitting on the steps like they always do. I also will never use their 1 day air mail joke again they can find another way to try to get money for all the jet fuel that they waste.
