What is average number of beds per hospital in the US?

Depends on what type of hospital you are dealing with. The answer can be very complex since most hospitals are a combination of staff/ employed physicians and contract physicians. Then there may also be "temp" locum tenens docs as well. I'm looking for this info myself. Try the American Hospital Association for some more support.
