A chapter is a part of a piece of writing that starts when a new place or idea is introduced:

'"Let's go," she spoke politely as she tugged on the sleeve of his shirt. They trotted outside, heading for the park.'

new chapter:'"Where should we go next?" The girl asked the boy, their backs turned towards the park, their feet carrying them away. He shrugged ignorantly. She sighed in defeat. She concluded that her day of babysitting was not going to be fun.'
