What is your ethnic background?

An interesting question that is not just for an individual but for all Americans in the modern days of hypenated Americans. We are a Nation of Immigrants, and consider each American to be a part of the New World Melting Pot. There are Native Americans, African Americans, Irish Americans and other European variants. The Census Bureau records something called Pacific Islanders and American Indians and Alaskan Natives (AIAN) and Hispanic and Latinos and they exist but you will rarely hear about a New Zealander American or an Omani Ameri8can or a Turkish American. Puerto Ricans are listed on the Census Form but not American Samoans or Guamanians.

How do you identify exactly what race and ethnic background you may be without a DNA test, and should such a test be required or even desireable. Some will elect on the side of a National need to know and others will demand a right to privacy.

Here is the racial and ethnic background of an unborn American girl that will belong to and be loved by our family when she is born according to her genealogical record. She will be:

• 50% Hispanic-Latino or in truth Mexican- American whatever that means.
• 50% Hybrid American consisting of English, Czech, Norwegian. German, Arapahoe, Greek, Russian, Armenian, Lebanese, Cherokee-Scots-Irish-African American, French-Creole and perhaps some other form of Heinz 57.
• She will be born an American Citizen as were her Parents, Grandparents, Great grandparents, and all but one of her Great-Great Grandparent who to the shame of the family tree was born in Canada.
