Do violent video games cause violence in children?

There is scientific evidence that there is no directcorrelation between violent Video Games and violence in real life. However, people who play violent video games areusuallymoreprone tohaving shorter tempers, grumpier personalities, etc. In reality, it is up to the users' discretionwhetheror not to play the video games.Addendum:
The "scientific" study that is so often used was conducted in the 1950's, decades before the development of the first commercial video game. What was used was violent images from comic books and serial movies. As stated, the only correlation that can be made from the original study is the people with alleged violent tendencies also have the tendency to be attracted to violent images. Go figure! There is no causation as implied by the question.
