How do you reset the engine immobilizer after changing the key fob battery on a range rover p38?

place the key in the drivers door. press and hold the key fob lock button then rotate the key in the door clockwise and hold for 3 seconds now, turn the key back to the central position and remove while still pressing the lock button. when removed from the lock you can release the lock button. this should relearn the remote to work again.
