Was john gotti's death a fake?

I do not believe that John Gotti's death was fake as he was definitely suffering from some age inducing illness whilst in prison, photos of his alleged last years in prison showed him to have aged drastically and looked like he was quite possibly dieing, as they looked so severe. However I do not live in the US so can not judge exactly how corupt things are over there, but, if you believe half of what is in American films, then it would be quite possible that he could have paid his way out of jail/for it all to be covered up as him having died, and him then getting a new identity. However, I do not believe this to be the case, as like I said before he was looking very ill on his photos which were said to be near his death, after him only spending 12 years in prison, he looked like he had aged by about 25 years and had turned into an old man
