When did Caboto start and end his trip?

John Cabot, an Italian explorer, embarked on his voyage to North America in May 1497. He reached the coast of what is now Newfoundland, Canada, around June of that year. Caboto returned to England later in the year, marking the end of this significant expedition. His journey was one of the first European explorations of the North American mainland.
