Skype used to give promotional credits some years ago, back when it wasn't so popular as it is now.

I'm afraid you can't get any free Skype credits anymore. But you can buy them with your credit card or Paysafecard, in case you don't own one. It's even better because it doesn't have any hidden fees.

Just go the the Skype homepage and learn about their rates. I always use Skype for calling abroad, it's much cheaper then using a landline or your cellular phone.
