Yes, strangely enough its mainly a Roman Catholic phenomana although it does happen outside these communities on rare occasions.

Exorcisms happen on occasion in Hindu cultures, mainly in rural areas to remove bad spirits. For example in the back country of Bali Indonesia I witnessed an exorcism of a house where the local temple priest preformed the exorcism and they sacrificed a dog on a pyre alter.
