I am in the middle of attempting to get back into college right now after failing multiple classes two semesters in a row. Got put on academic probation after the first, and booted out after the second. Luckily (or unluckily), it was during my senior year so I have 114 credit hours under my belt and even with my 7 F's my grade point average is still a 3.05. I hope that helps my case, but some schools are strict on their readmitting standards, and some will make special exceptions (hope mine does). In my case I just became lazy, slightly depressed, and a stellar procrastinator so I have no valid excuse. It would help if you have a case that appeals to boards emotions. My case is now that I have matured and learned my lesson twice, and now have a burning desire to complete what I started. I am drafting a letter to send to the academic board if I'm initially rejected which I fully expect the idealist professors to do. My poor track record doesn't help my case, but I've learned a valuable and expensive lesson in the process. If my plan doesnt play out then I will likely apply to competing universities that will give me a second chance to prove my abilities.
