How do you get a Hollywood walk of fame star?

If a performer has been successful for at least a few years, they can propose to the Hollywood Walk of Fame committee that they deserve a star. Not everyone who makes a presentation to the committee is awarded a star, however. The committee will look at the proposal and evaluate the accomplishments of the performer, and then make the decision as to whether a star should be awarded.
