The truck used to belong to Billy Black, Quileute resident of La Push reservation and fishing buddy of Bella's father, Charlie Swan. But Billy ends up in a wheelchair and sells his car to Charlie. Before the truck is handed over to Bella, it is cleaned on the inside if not the outside too.
