Is the CPU the heart of the computer?

Computers are not directly analogous to people, so it is very difficult to compare human anatomy to computer hardware. The job of a microprocessor is to receive data, perform calculations on it, and send it elsewhere. In humans, this job is performed by certain parts of the brain, along with the central nervous system. The microprocessor is not in charge of remembering or recalling data, like other parts of the human brain.
