Is k2 in the same mountain range as Mount Everest?

K2 is not higher than Mount Everest. K2 stands at 8,611 meters or 28,251 feet high and Mount Everest stands at 8,848 meters or 29,029 feet high, making it the highest mountain on earth, K2 is the second highest mountain on earth.
