Is Saint Melanie a saint

Melanie was born in Placet Brittany and he was a monk when called to succeed St. Amand in the see of Rennes. He wiped out idolatry in his diocese , helped draw up the canons of the Council of Orleans in 511 and was highly revered by King Clovis. His feast day is January 6.
