Possibly. Depending on if you bought an extra endorsement called back up of sewer or sub pump. This is an additional coverage you have to buy on your homeowners. This also depends if what ever happened to the the septic tank was accidental or sudden. If it failed due to poor maintenance, then no the insurance company does not have to cover it.
