What year did maggellion die?

Ferdinand Magellan died in 1521 during the Battle of Mactan in the Philippines. He was killed by indigenous warriors led by Lapu-Lapu while attempting to assert Spanish control over the region. His expedition continued after his death, ultimately achieving the first circumnavigation of the Earth.
