How does fashion designing help society?

For me, fashion design is about speaking without having to say a Word. Fashion is usually what we see on the runway, it is a point of view. I usually have someone in mind when i scetch something like a model woman that i design for and then i scetch ideas based on what i know this woman might like. Deisigning is a fun job to have but it is far from glamorous.
