Should every family have a dog?

Yes. Every family should have a dog. But, you need to know what dog to get! If you have pet Allergies, then you should get a hypoallergenic dog. If you have small children, then you should get a dog like a Shih-tzu, Golden Retriever, Husky, Alaskan Malumute or Labrador. If you do not have children under the age of 10, then you can get a dog like a Bulldog, Doberman Pincher, Pit bull, Rotwieler or any dog at all really. If you are a single person or a family with children over 6 years old that do not play ruff with animals all the time, then you could get a Chihuahua, Toy Poodle, Yorkie, Maltese, Mini Pincher, Teacup Chihuahua, Teacup Poodle, Teacup Yorkie or Teacup Maltese. Dogs are great companions and great watch dogs! So, yes! Every family should have a dog!

Another perspective:Absolutely not, as evidenced by the incredible number of abused animals. Unless people are prepared to care for a dog properly, they shouldn't even consider having one.
