How much blood will they get from you when you donate?

FDA guidelines allow blood collection facilities to collect a maximum of 10.5 ml/kg body weight of whole blood from eligible donors at each donation attempt. The majority of blood centers use 500 ml collection bags, with an additional 50 ml allowed to be collected for mandated screening tests.
