How do you change brake pads on a Mercedes w211?

the car has sbc brake control that you are supposed to disable with the mb computer but i have done it just by locking the doors and let the car sit for 5 minutes then you can work on thr brakes but whatever you do don't unlock or open an door while the calipers are off because the sbc automatically applies pressure to pads as a self check and stabilize the car when you are getting in.
