Can you play Mp3 Cd's on a home stereo system?

Regular home stereos would be unable to play Mp3 files, if you were to burn them to a data disc and just insert it into the stereo. MP3's are a computer format, a stereo is not a computer, it can only read a CD if specially prepared, in the right format.

Instead you need to use disc authoring software to specifically burn it as an Audio CD, which will be in a format the stereo will recognise.
