Do you need a VISA for going into Slovakia?

You need a passport. You might need a visa, depending on what country issued you the passport. Most Europeans or North Americans need no visa for short term visits for tourist purposes. Working permits/working visas are another story. You must check with a Slovakian Consulate about that.
