Medical Transcription usually is studied for approximately a one-year course, depending on the level of qualification desired. If more than basic qualification is desired, then it could be two years. A student would then obtain a "Certificate of Completion" for the Medical Transcription course. Of course, the field of health care is wide open, and it is desireable to study different disciplines for several years before becoming a recognized, accomplished Medical Transcriptionist! This is a general response to your question, and this should not be considered the last Word! Good luck!
