Registered Nurses can earn that and more. Nursing programs take between 4 years and infinity to complete. The really hard part is getting a spot in the program. Not a lot of slots available. At all. I guess when they can make 30+ dollars an hour to walk the floor, not many of them want to teach. But the upside to this is that only the best, brightest and most persistent candidates make it to a local hospital near you. :)

Also, electrical jobs can pay more than 30 per hour if you are certified. It doesn't take half as long as nursing but you do need to work up to it. You'll also, most likely, need to provide your own tools and large vehicle (truck/van/SUV).

Bartenders/Cocktail Servers - if they are sociable and (shall I say) kinda fake - can easily make $30 per hour. Anything in service is fantastic because you get cash daily.

Programmers - even without formal education - can get paid a minimum of $30 an hour if they know their stuff.

Here's one you probably haven't heard of: Scopists. Scopists require very little training but specialty software that helps them transcribe court reports. It's worth some research - you can do it from home!
