Unlike most urbanites think, a cow that is "tipped" is able to move her feet under her to get back up again. They are able to lay on their side, and roll back up to a sitting position with their feet tucked under them. Unless you have her in a ditch or gully where she cannot easily roll back to her side to get her on her feet again, a cow is always able to get back up after falling down--except if she broke her leg, pelvis, or dislocated her hip.
