How does the media a reflection of reality?

I always thought the media was far away from reality because of the kinds of silly stories they put to the top. The media has hit the point where it seems that it will never reach the point where it gets the slightest bit of reality, mainly due to how low it has put itself. In short, no. And, it more than likely never will.
