What is a hot sleeper?

As far as I can tell it is something that I have. That being a hard time falling asleep at night due to constant feeling of heating up everytime I start to fall into a deep sleep. Then the hot temp quickly subsides I become cooler and repeat the cycle. This happens even with a A/C 5ft to my side. This is not blowing directly on me but the room stays about 72'. raising or lowering that temp makes no difference...still happens. I have been seeking an answer on how to control it but have found nothing concrete. Some try and blame it on thyroid over production but I dont think so since I have none of the other symptoms....certainly not losing any weight.
