Why are dogs afraid of plastic bottles?

* Not all dogs are afraid of plastic bottles, that is like saying all women are afraid of mice. I have four dogs, two poodles and two Shitzu/Poodles and one Poodle wants nothing to do with a plastic bottle and one Shitzu/Poodle loves to jump on a plastic bottle and chase it around the tile flooring. Just like people dogs all have different personalities and we really should not generalize. == == * Some dogs don't like the noise a plastic bottle may make when it tries to pop back into shape. == == * Not all dogs are, dogs aren't afraid of plastic bottles. * If your dog is afraid of plastic bottles it more than likely had a scare from one at some point in it's life. Puppies go through several scared stages of development and all it takes sometimes is one incident to make a permanent impression on them. If the fear of plastic bottles is a problem you can help the dog over come this fear by working with the dog and being patient. You need to teach the dog that there is nothing to fear.
