Was the us military integrated by the end of World War 2?

By the end of World War II, the United States military was not fully integrated. While President Truman issued Executive Order 9981 in 1948 to desegregate the military, it took several years for full integration to be achieved. The Korean War in the early 1950s was a significant turning point in the integration process, as African American soldiers fought alongside their white counterparts in combat units. It wasn't until the late 1950s and early 1960s that the military became more fully integrated.
