Different types of observations in childcare?

there are 3 methods of recording these are

free description - where you just write about them throughout the day in sentances but this can be your opinion making it exaggarated so it cant be accurate

tick chart - where you see if the child can do certain things and you tick them off as they can do them that way there is not as much infomation though

time sample - where you record them doing different things at different times but can only do this at the slotted times
