Hitler's broken promises

In respect to Germany in the World War II era, Hitler's broken promises were many in number and also on a scale ranging from small to large within the various contexts of his political and military involvements. What may be the most important broken promise, however, was his assurance to Western leaders -- and the world -- in the Fall of 1938 that his attempts to secure Germany's borders would end with the acquisition of the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia.
