Why is it so cold in the northeastern US?

The underwater cycles of the currents blow colder air down from Greenland towards us. Also because of the way the Earth is tilted to give us less sun in the winter and more in the summer. (Notice how hot it is in the summer) I don't know why this is under "Animal Life", but I hope my answer helped!
