My girlfriend wants me to wait to get a tattoo but I want to get it now what do I do?

background story:

I've been wanting to get another tattoo for a little while. I already have 2, and one is visible, the other is covered (one is on my back, the other on the inside of my left arm. i want to get a piece to go from my shoulder down to before my elbow (basically a short sleeve). the tattoo would mean something to me because it will have symbols of my faith. my faith is important to me and this tattoo could give me opportunities to evangelize and explain my faith. i also just love the idea of the new tattoo and ive been trying to get it done for about a year.

my girlfriend doesnt mind tattoos and has contemplated getting one herself. but she doesnt want me to get it right now. she wants me to wait til next year to get it or til December. she told me should would be furious if i got it and she just wants me to wait. im not sure what to do. my appointment is this coming Saturday and i want to get the tattoo but i want to respect my girlfriends feelings. i love her more than a tattoo but the tattoo is something i would like to do. granted she said she would be ok with it if i waited, but i want to get it now.

Girlfriend is a very important thing. maybe you want to check the limits of the relationship? maybe SHE does?

My humble advice: wait. and think about the serious stuff - are you going to marry her and quit the games?
